ValOne Youtube Trophy.jpg

At the age of 19, I created a YouTube channel that was very popular in the electronic music scene, accumulating tens of millions of views on videos made in my bedroom.

THE STORY BEHIND

Videos I posted on my Snapchat account, June 2016.

It all started with Snapchat videos I posted to my account in June 2016
I quickly realized that these videos were getting a lot of views and people were sharing them with all their friends.

Seeing the success it had in a private circle on Snapchat, I decided to create a full concept around the idea. That's how my Youtube channel was born. I posted the first episodes, which only got a few hundred views in the first 4 months. I continued to post content anyway, and after 4 months, all the videos I posted skyrocketed.
Today, the first video I made has over 1.5 million views.

And the most popular one has reached 3.6 million views.

At that time, the YouTube channel attracted a lot of attention from
the electronic music scene.
I did my first interview for a magazine called 'Electric Peel':

Then I was interviewed by Tsugi Magazine,
one of the magazines I used to read as a teenager.
For the little story, Arnaud Rollet, the journalist from Tsugi Magazine, sent me an email saying he wanted to interview me. We met at a famous vinyl store in Paris called "Techno Import". He took some pictures of me in front of it to illustrate the article.
We talked about our love of culture and electronic music.
And we sat down and he recorded me telling my story for over an hour.

Another funny story is this fan of the Youtube channel who created this message for me
and brought it to one of the Boiler Room parties.

The Youtube Trophy

At one point, with dozens of videos published and over 35 million views,
I received a letter from Youtube congratulating me on my work.

They offered me the famous Youtube trophy to symbolize
the 100,000 subscriber mark.

It was a real moment of joy and pride.
